Ridiculous Laws In The United States
The United States of America is known as the “Land of the Free.” Its citizens crafted a constitution that sparked revolutions throughout Europe with so much freedom. One thing that hasn’t escaped this country is a collection of peculiar and perplexing laws.
In Alabama, it is illegal to drive while blindfolded.
It’s worth noting that driving blindfolded is banned in Alabama. This law makes a great deal of sense. Our driving theory examinations and instructors would always emphasize the need to keep our eyes on the road at all times. In Alabama, they go above and above to ensure that you don’t have to deal with any blinded drivers on your journey.
Without their permission, do not wash your neighbor’s car.
I’d be grateful if my next-door neighbor was willing to wash my car. However, if you’re in Los Angeles, you’d best put down that sponge if you haven’t gotten permission beforehand. Otherwise, you could get into some legal problems.
Only sip and spit!
Can you imagine freshmen week without booze? Oh, it must be good not to have fresher’s sickness and horrible hangovers during your 9 a.m. classes…
The legal drinking age in the United States is 21 years old. But that’s not the strange thing. A culinary school in the Prairie State of Illinois has been given special consideration.
It was stated that culinary students should have a good understanding of wine and that this would be a key aspect in gaining a good education. As a result, the state enacted the Sip and Spit law, which allows culinary students to sample wine as long as they spit it out afterward, fully comprehending this important aspect of their education.
You Have No Right to Send Me Pizza!
If you’re in Louisiana, don’t try to surprise somebody with a pizza. Have you no decency, to be honest? Now you’ll have to pay a hefty price for this heinous act: a $500 fine is on the way.
New Jersey has bulletproof jackets and crooks.
I’m sure New Jersey’s criminals aren’t pleased with this strange rule. If you’re caught wearing a bulletproof vest while committing a crime in New Jersey, you’ll be prosecuted not just for the offense but also for attempting to shield yourself from gunshot wounds.
Bingo Rules That Are Serious
If you enjoy bingo, you’ll be disappointed to learn that in North Carolina, a game cannot continue for more than five hours. It’s much worse if you have a glass of wine while playing because being inebriated while playing bingo is forbidden in this state.
Adults are not allowed to eat sweets
This is a topic worth debating. Can you trick-or-treat if you’re beyond the age of 14? This question has an obvious answer in Chesapeake City, Virginia. You can’t do it. Adults participating in the trick-or-treating activities must be accompanying a kid and not trick-or-treating alone. However, the under 14s are not exempt from limitations, and they will be subject to an 8 p.m. curfew as well. Halloween greetings!
The Women’s False Teeth
We presume that the days of males telling women what to dress and how to appear are long gone. In Vermont, however, this is not the case. This legislation has not yet been invalidated since it is not enforced. It states that if a woman wants to receive fake teeth, she must first get permission from her spouse.
Tell me that as me you are very shock that these laws still exist in the United States, a place where everything is so tech and developed. Let us know in the comments what other ridiculous law do you know…
